Green Mountain Coffee Is Now Down 40%

There are a lot of Green Mountain stock holders who are suffering right now as the stock went from $67 to $40 after a poor earnings report that left more questions on the table than answers. The stock of course has been getting hammered ever since David Einhorn said he was going short GMCR, and laid out his argument for why the stock was over valued and perhaps even incorrectly reporting certain numbers. Arch Coal Misses Earnings But Stock Soars Higher

The stock market is a funny thing sometimes. When stocks seems like they should go up they go down. And when stocks seems like they should go down they go up. The later was the case for Arch Coal's stock (ACI) today. And, for those not used to the market's sometimes maddening logic, it was frustrating, confounding and confusing. Over on the Yahoo Finance message board for Arch Coal, one board member was in utter disbelief as to why the stock soared nearly 10% after it missed earnings:
