Warren Buffett discusses his New York Times Op-Ed piece 'Stop Coddling the Super-Rich' which calls on Congress to increase income taxes on the Super-Rich like himself. You can tell that Buffett is frustrated, annoyed and perhaps genuinely angry about the governments inability to solve problems - instead they create them.

Buffet Bets Against Double Dip

Despite the poor jobs report today, Warren Buffett doesn't believe there will be a double dip. And he amazingly didn't say this to Becky Quick on CNBC, he actually had an interview with someone else, Betty Liu, of Bloomberg. Anyway, Buffet said he sees growth around the world but no 'mushrooming' growth and no signs of a double dip recession. Shockingly, he even called for a housing recovery in a year or so.
“I would bet very heavily against that,” Buffett told Bloomberg Television’s Betty Liu on the “In the Loop” program today after data showed slowing U.S.

Why does Becky Quick always get to interview Warren Buffett? Who knows. I guess Buffett likes her is the most obvious reason. She's smart, too. Nice bottle of coke there too, next to Buffett, with Buffett of course owning the Coca Cola company. So, whenever there's a Buffet interview there's always two things: Coke and Quick. Anyway. What Stock is Warren Buffett Buying?

This is the big mysterious after Buffett’s most recent 13F filing for Berkshire Hathaway's portfolio showed he purchased one unnamed stock this past quarter which was disclosed. The SEC offers this protection so other copycat investors can’t jump right on board when someone like Buffet is trying to, perhaps, build a position in a stock. They have to wait a little big longer, most like in August we’ll know what the stock was. For now, we can only speculate.
