Yeah, I've watched Project Runway a number of times, and my favorite judge on the show just so happens to be Nina Garcia. Not only is she smart but she's beautiful. But I was surprised to hear she was the one who moved JP Penny's stock 10% when she sent out this tweet:
Nina Garcia, Marie Claire magazine fashion editor and judge on television show "Project Runway", said in a tweet. Garcia also signed on last week as J.C. Penney's "Style Voice" and fashion collection curator. Penney shares rose to as much as $23.09. The stock was up 4.9 percent at

So, like yeah, there are a bunch of people you could follow on Twitter who notice trends or talk economic policy, but what do they know about actually trading stocks and making money? I'm not knocking the Business Insider Twitter list or anything, it's got a wide range of very smart folks, but it doesn't have that many traders. He's gaining followers too, with over 15,000 right now. I wonder if Goldman allows him to get away with this since it's almost a way to air the worst of the worst possible stereotypes of the Goldman Sachs worker in a comical platform - sort of lessens them in a way. Either way, it's pretty damn funny and, sometimes, perhaps goes a bit too far.
The creator of @GSElevator agreed to be interviewed over

If you don't know who the Sunrise Trader is you should. If you're not following him on Twitter you should. In the stock market world, where the phrase greed is good is often a mantra, it's refreshing to hear from someone so grounded. The Sunrise Trader makes some excellent points about not only trading stocks via trends and charts but how none of it really matters if we're not healthy. The desire to make money trading stocks is meaningless if we're not healthy. And nearly everyday, as if to prove this, he always seems to get

What do you think? Does this have wings....or is it just a bunch of bunk? Everyone's looking for that extra edge in the market though. In the past there was talk of looking at trends on search terms in Google to gauge how the stock market or a certain company/sector was going to perform.  Now that's distilled down even further or faster with Twitter, where reactions and information is exchanged immediately about stocks and the economy in general.
