At about the 9:50 mark in the video below, hedge fund manager and sometime Poker player, David Einhorn, is asked about Herbalife (ticker HLF), does the smile tell you he's short or long the stock? I'd go all in that this smile tells you he's short, big time. He tries to brush off the question but there's a little twinkle in his eye as he smiles. David Einhorn: “First Solar Most Profitable Short in Fund’s History”

The sun shined on David Einhorn's Green Light Capital, and not on First Solar, as the fund shorted First Solar (FSLR) from $130.14 all the way down to $33.76. It turned out to be Green Lights' largest winner of the year. Einhorn called the First Solar trade "one of the most profitable shorts in the history of its fund", which is saying a lot for a firm known for huge short positions in companies that they hold on to for sometimes years. Whitney Tilson is Crying Over Netflix Short
