When You Should Buy Shares of Facebook by Barry Ritholtz
Yeah, so in a sort of glorious debacle, Facebook shares have only been going down ever since they went public. Now, the question is at what price are Facebook shares worth a look? Michael Arrington formerly of TechCrunch bought shares at around $34. Mark Cuban of the Dallas Mavericks bought some at $32.50 . But this tweet by Barry Ritholtz of Fusion IQ stood out in all of its capitalized glory: So, there you have it. If you want to buy shares of Facebook then $15 is the time to fire up the TD Ameritrade or ETrade Tagged barry ritholtz, facebook shares, fair value, mark cuban, michael arringtonMark Cuban Just Wanted to Remind You How Rich He Is
Mark Cuban, who bought 150,000 shares of Facebook with an average price of $32.49 just tweeted that he didn't notice the drop in Facebook's stock and he's not in the least worried about being down close to half a million on this "very small" investment - as of this writing with Facebook trading at around $29.11 he's down over $500,000. It's chump change the Shark Tank and Dallas Mavericks owner host implied. And then added, you see how much money I lost on the Lamar Odom Kardashian trade? Mark Cuban: Stock Market is Platform for Hackers
This isn't the first time Mark Cuban has said the stock market is a platform for "hackers". Back in August he made the same point, saying, hackers like traders are looking for weak spots in the system to make money. Listen to Jim Cramer say, "Holy Cow", in the video below as Cuban reiterates his point that the stock market is nothing more a platform for hackers and there's just too much unknown risk. Cuban said that more than 50% of his wealth is now in cash. Tagged cash is king, hackers, mark cubanMark Cuban: Wall Street Traders Are Hackers
Mark Cuban writes a very interesting post, castigating day traders and high frequency traders. Cuban calls them just hackers that provide no benefit to the stock market or business as a whole. We've been hearing a lot about this lately, what with the market dropping 400 points one day and then going up 400 points the next and then dropping again the following day. There were four 400 point moves just this week. The extreme fluctuations in the market have been blamed on automated or computer based trading. And Cuban says this only sets us up for a bigger crash Tagged hackers, high-frequency trading, mark cuban, wall streetRecent Posts
