Did JP Morgan’s Jamie Dimon and his wife Judith crash the White House a while back? No, I think the only couple that actually crashed the White House, for a dinner with President of China Hu Jintao, was Goldman’s Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein and his wife Laura. Or, at least that’s, I’m guessing, how Blankfein and his wife must have felt in some ways.

It must be tough to be perhaps the most hated CEO or firm across the globe. The so called blood-sucking vampire squid firm that sells clients on one trade and then bets the other way, so it’s said. And even more, it must be tough to be the wife of that said CEO. She deserves a lot of credit for standing with her man in times like these.

However, I’d say Goldman Sachs is feared and respected by those inside Wall Street. They are gods in a way to traders on Wall Street. Nobody can stop them. They know how to make piles and piles of money each and every quarter. They are the best at the stock market game. In a way, they are hated because they’re so good at it. In the crazy world of the stock market, Goldman is King. And this is true even more so after the market crash of 2008, where a number of their rivals, from Bear Stearns to Lehman Brothers, were killed off. Now, their main competition comes from Morgan Stanley.

Look who else showed up, Tim Geithner with his wife Carole.  Although certainly not White House crashers, as Mr. Geithner is part of the Obama team, the couple did forget to bring a gift, and where therefore escorted away. Geithner said he brought a gift last year, and due to the tax issues of buying a gift for the  President, he thought it best not to bring a gift this year. His wife was allowed to stay at the party but Timmy was sent home.
