Great background story on the short seller Andrew Left who’s taking down Valeant’s stock right now. Mr. Left compared Valeant to Enron, which is never, ever a good thing. But Left also has some interesting memorabilia.
In some ways, the WSJ story makes you think of Andrew Left of Citron Research as a Wolf of Wall Street like character…but his short selling firm has had some great and very legal success over the years. One thing’s for sure though, he’s got an interesting collection of furniture and rap lyrics, including some Enron chairs and a Eric B. Rakim lyric print:
Mr. Left runs Citron out of a plush home office full of memorabilia from Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. and Bernard Madoff Investment Securities LLC. The upholstered chairs in his children’s bedrooms were purchased at an auction of office furniture from Enron. He also owns a print of the rap lyrics “Thinkin’ of a master plan,” from Eric B. & Rakim. (WSJ)
Here’s a vidoe of Eric B. & Rakim sining/rapping “Thinkin’ of a Master Plan”:
