Yeah, so I’m a big fan of these DirectTV commercials. And so much so that I did a parody of one of their commercials for Diamond Foods. Although all the ads are funny, the best DirectTV ad so far has to be the one that features Charlie Sheen, where it recommends that you don’t go to happy hour or a Turkish or you might end up “reenacting scenes from Platoon with Charlie Sheen.” Which you certainly don’t want to do. Looks like that’s a real crossbow he’s using.
One thing you might want to do though is buy shares of DirectTV (DTV), as Warren Buffett recently did, upping his stake in the satellite television network to 20.3 million shares at average price of $46 a share. Buffett, I’m guessing, likes these ads too. I’d love to see Buffett in one of these ads? You want to do what Buffett does though, so not sure how they could turn this around….maybe something about missing out on the chance to buy shares of a stock that Buffett likes if you don’t switch to DirectTV.
