OK, so don’t get me wrong, I love the red bull fueled Jim Cramer. How can you not love the mad money man of stocks? The guy probably knows every stock ticker in the market and can give you a thesis on why you should or shouldn’t buy said stock/company/ticker.
However, Cramer’s passion for stocks can also get the best of him. In that since he’s constantly making calls and recommending stocks, he’s going to get a fair share wrong. And he recently went DEFCON 3 on the stock market, citing the crisis in Europe, and said to get completely out financial related stocks stat. What happened? Well, all those bank stocks and financials that he was worried about took off, just soared higher. It was quite a bad call and those who listened to his DEFCON fears, missed out on a big run up.
So, it should come as no surprise that Cramer has now turned to predicting the outcomes of sporting events, specifically and most recently, the NY Giants winning the Super Bowl. Cramer tweeted this message on Sunday night after the Giants beat the San Francisco 49ers.
Is this going to become a regular thing for Cramer? Is he now going to advise those trying to make bets on football games? It’s too bad the Giants don’t actually sell shares like the Green Bay Packers.
