If you’re sitting next to Tom Golisano, don’t say anything about the economic inequality in the United States or paying your fair share, you might get vomited on. Perhaps Golisano is like Stephen Schwarzman and would rather hear the phrase ‘skin in the game’.
Tom Golisano, billionaire founder of payroll processor Paychex Inc. (PAYX) and a former New York gubernatorial candidate, said in an interview this month that while there are examples of excess, it’s “ridiculous” to blame everyone who is rich.
“If I hear a politician use the term ‘paying your fair share’ one more time, I’m going to vomit,” said Golisano, who turned 70 last month, celebrating the birthday with girlfriend Monica Seles, the former tennis star who won nine Grand Slam singles titles. (Bloomberg)
If Golisano doesn’t spew vomit on you he’ll just up and move away. Golisano moved from his New York residency over then Gov. Paterson’s millionaire’s tax. He said he was moving to Naples, Fla., because the Sunshine State has no income tax. The move saved him $14,000 a day. I wonder if he’ll move to Canada now so he doesn’t have to vomit if someone says anything negative about billionaires paying their fair share.
The rich are tired of paying for everyone else and don’t want to hear anymore about it. Just move on. It’s Christmas time after all, right? It’s time to watch It’s A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol and The Grinch. It’s time for those who have money to going swimming in all their cash and not share it with anyone else because they did it all by themselves and don’t need to pay their fair share. God dammit. Bah Humbug!
