Blood in the Streets

These days it seems like I’m hearing a lot of talk of blood on the streets. And what with stocks down for it seems like the whole month of May, it’s no surprise. I guess ‘sell in May and go away‘ is a cliche that holds true here. I noticed Jon Najarian, of CNBC’s Fast Money and OptionMonster, has been gone most of the month traveling in Italy. He’s been posting pics with his family from time to time and the occasional mention of someone good win or seafood. I guess he knows a thing or two about trading stocks or just got lucky this May.

But the blood on or in the streets is a phrase you hear a lot these days, with the stock market repeatedly in the red. It’s sort of along the lines of buying stocks when everyone else is afraid, as Warren Buffet is known to do. Today we got this tweet from CNBC’s Larry Kudlow:

Buy when there’s blood on the street. Sell where there’s too much sunshine. Today, there’s plenty of blood. There’s also plenty of value.

What are you doing? Buying or selling stocks….?
